SASS stands for Sexual Assault Survivor Support.

It is a student run peer support group aimed at
providing a safe and supporting atmosphere for people who’ve experienced sexual harassment or
assault.

We run sessions once a week, alternating between sessions with a trigger warning and sessions
without. This structure is aimed at providing a safe space for as many survivors as possible by
avoiding accidental triggers of those who are sensitive to disclosures of sexual harassment and/or
assault.

Sessions with a trigger warning
In these sessions, members are free to discuss details of sexual assault and/or harassment,
including personal experiences.

Sessions with no trigger warning
In these sessions, members are asked not to discuss any detail of sexual assault or harassment,
including those relating to personal experiences.
