Now more than ever it is vital to engage and support your community, and extend it to those whose community no longer feels safe. 
 

The theme for PROJECT:TALK'S Mental Fitness Month 2022 is about connecting in times of conflict. It acknowledges the impact that conflict can have on our Mental Fitness and the importance of connection, community and a safe environment. This May, we encourage you to join us as we learn from each other's experiences & build safe, supportive communities across our network. 
 

You can look forward to our TOOLS TO:TALK Workshops and challenge yourself in our WALK TO:TALK ‘KMs for Community’ fundraiser.
 

Donations will support PROJECT:TALK's ongoing work to develop supportive educational communities.

Influenced by the voices of those with lived experience, we will strive to make communities a safe space for those who have experienced conflict.

MENTAL FITNESS MONTH |  TIMELINE   

Our event this May last for 4 weeks, with two distinct elements; 2 weeks of education & information and 2 weeks of activity & fundraising.

WEEK 2 & 3 
MENTAL FITNESS MONTH FUNDRAISER

 Taking part in physical activity, directly affects and improves our mental fitness, it is a well-recognised, valued way of relieving stress  and giving your mind space to process information. Within each of our individual lives we all come into varying degrees of conflict, by challenging yourself this May to get out and get active with someone close to you, you may discover new ways to find some resolution.  
 

Donations will support PROJECT:TALK's ongoing work to develop supportive educational communities.

Influenced by the voices of those with lived experience, we will strive to make communities a safe space for those who have experienced conflict.

Our 'KMs for Community' fundraiser serves to amplify our Mental Fitness message and get as many of you to connect with those around you. We are challenging you to get out and get active by any means that brings you joy. The activities you take part in will contribute to a collective goal of traveling 5,000KMs and a fundraising target of £2,500 in two weeks. 

 

Every kilometre achieved will reflect a kilometre traveled as a collective team towards the 5,000KMs goal. Every 500KM milestone achieved across all participants will release a set of activities & tips to help people connect. 

Special additional prizes for hitting distance or donation milestones will be rewarded to participants at the end of the entire 4-week event. These prizes will be kindly donated by our event sponsors. 

All you need to do to contribute your KMs is sign up to our event here and this will automatically add your KMs through the popular fitness app Strava.
