CITY HALF MARATHON WALK
CHECKPOINT C: LADIES MILE JUNCTION
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH //
Addiction Recovery Agency
We are really excited to be partnering with the University of Bristol and Project Talk this September 2020 and the most important question is ‘what can we offer you’?
We have helped an estimated 40,000 people with alcohol, drug, gambling, and mental health issues during this time and passionately believe that people can change and recover.
We know that University students can be particularly vulnerable to the harms associated with problem gambling. A combination of increased time, access to money, possible isolation and alcohol consumption can all be contributing factors to students experiencing gambling-related harm.
We can offer you FREE confidential 1:1 support or counselling if you are experiencing problems with your own gambling or that of a family member (if they live in Wales or South-West England).
Please contact us if you or someone you know needs support:
Phone: 0330 1340 286
Everyone at ARA wishes you a fantastic and safe University experience!

DIRECTIONS TO NEXT CHECKPOINT
Turn RIGHT and follow Clifton Down past the zoo and continue along the road. As the road turns the corner it becomes Upper Belgrave Road: continue to follow it. Eventually you will reach a crossroads made up of Stoke Road and Whiteladies road. Here, turn LEFT at the first set of traffic lights and follow Stoke Road, you will be to the left of the Water Tower.
At the first junction on the LEFT, turn onto Ladies Mile, sticking to the path which runs parallel with the road. Continue on Ladies Mile until you reach a junction – here, turn RIGHT onto Circular Road. Stay on the Circular Road which will take you all round the edge of the downs, passing a scenic view-point. Continue to follow the road along the downs, crossing over the traffic lights, crossing over Stoke Road and Circular Road becomes Saville Road. Continue straight and cross over the first road of Parry’s Lane. The next road you meet (also Parry’s Lane) turn RIGHT and head towards the roundabout. Here you will find Checkpoint D (BS9 3US). Using the pedestrian crossings head over the roundabout and straight ahead onto North View.
